The Chasebaits Swim Dusty is a jointed swimbait built around one idea: give a predator something to feel as well as something to see. The revolving metal belly blade adds vibration and flash, and the three segment body gives a smooth, snaking action that looks like a real baitfish.

The body floats, and the rigid side fins make it dive on a steady retrieve. Use the top tow point and it runs deeper. It comes with a natural tail and a UV tail, so you can match your presentation to the water and the light.

How to fish the Swim Dusty

The Swim Dusty takes three retrieves, and it is worth trying all three in the same session:

• Steady retrieve: wind slowly and let the side fins take it down. The blade does the rest.
• Twitch and pause: short twitches with the rod tip, then a pause. The floating body rises on the pause, which often makes a following fish commit.
• Faster retrieve: a few quick turns of the handle to trigger a reaction bite.

The two tow points change the running depth: the top one takes it deeper, the front one keeps it higher. The chin attachment takes extra weight when you want it down quickly.
