The most distinctive feature of the VV Cruiser is its hook-shaped curly tail. This wide tail design begins working with the slightest movement and creates strong water displacement and low-frequency vibrations during the retrieve. These vibrations are easily detected by pike through their lateral line, making the lure highly effective in coloured water, low-light conditions and when fishing around dense cover.

The broad body features flat sides and detailed natural colour patterns that create additional flash and a convincing baitfish profile in the water. Its substantial silhouette remains clearly visible during the retrieve and can help trigger cautious pike that closely inspect a lure before committing to the strike.

The VV Cruiser is designed to be rigged with a BIM Tackle Shallow Cruiser Head or a shallow rig. This setup allows the lure to be presented high in the water column while maintaining a wide and natural swimming action. It is especially effective over weed beds, along shallow margins, across shoals and around areas where pike hunt close to the surface. Shallow rigging also helps reduce snagging when fishing around vegetation and other cover.
