Jackall Chubby Bug 35 – Floating Super Shallow Crankbait

The Jackall Chubby Bug 35 is a compact floating super shallow crankbait inspired by insects struggling on or just below the water’s surface. Its realistic insect profile, detailed finish and carefully positioned silicone appendages create a highly natural presentation for targeting chub, trout, perch and black bass in shallow water.

The silicone appendages are positioned on two levels to produce different actions. The upper appendages move naturally across the surface during a steady retrieve. When paused, they float and continue to create subtle spontaneous movement, imitating the wings of an insect trapped on the water. They also add light resistance during the retrieve, improving lure control and helping the angler feel the action more clearly.

The lower silicone appendages imitate the legs or wings of a small insect struggling below the surface. Even when the lure is held still, they respond to current and the slightest movement of the water, producing subtle vibrations that can trigger cautious fish.

A built-in weight transfer system improves casting distance and overall swimming stability while maintaining the compact and realistic insect profile. The natural colour patterns are inspired by beetles and other flying insects, making the Chubby Bug 35 especially effective when fish are feeding on insects around overhanging vegetation, shallow margins and calm surface water.
