Rapala Floating Net – Single Hand Landing Net with Floating Frame and Rubberized Mesh

The Rapala Floating Net is built around one idea: landing a fish should take one hand. The handle is deliberately short at 20 cm, so you scoop with your net hand while the rod stays under control in the other — no juggling at the side of the boat, no fumbling at the exact moment a pike decides to make one more run.

The frame is black anodised aluminium and it floats. Drop the net over the side, or let go of it while you unhook, and it stays on the surface instead of going to the bottom. That matters most in the places this net is made for: a boat, a kayak, a belly boat, or standing waist-deep in a river. An elastic lanyard is included so you can clip it to your back or your vest and forget about it until you need it.

The mesh is rubberised, which does two jobs at once. It leaves the fish's slime coat and fins intact, and treble hooks slide out of it instead of knitting themselves into the netting. You spend less time picking a lure out of the mesh and the fish spends less time out of the water. With a 45 cm hoop and 50 cm of depth it handles pike, zander and perch comfortably.
