Rapala Soft Olio 18 cm – Curly Twin Tail Softbait for Pike, 18 cm / 55 g

The Rapala Soft Olio 18 cm is the twin-curl brother of the Rapala Soft Peto 18 cm and the Rapala Soft Otus 18 cm. It has the same side-to-side rolling body, with two curly tails behind it that keep spinning at the slowest retrieve and flutter on the pause while the bait sinks. That pause is where a following pike makes up its mind.

The body is soft plastic with 3D scales and a textured surface that adds vibration to the roll. At 18 cm and 55 g it is a sinking bait: unweighted on a bait screw and a Pike Chain it runs around half a metre on a steady retrieve, and with an Illex John Weight clipped on it goes deeper without changing the action.

On a VMC Mustache Shallow or VMC Mustache Rig it becomes a Mustache combo with a curly tail: bucktail in front, two tails behind. That is the option for days when pike want more movement than the paddle of the Peto gives them.
