The Rapala Super Shadow Rap 11 takes the proven Shadow Rap action and puts it into a taller, heavier body. At 11 cm and 38 g it pushes a big-baitfish silhouette without stepping up to a true big-bait rod, which makes it one of the most usable large jerkbaits in the Rapala range for pike and zander.

The action is what sells it. On a sharp snap of the rod the lure kicks hard to the side, then stops and fades away, sinking slowly in a horizontal posture like a dying baitfish. That gives you three separate moments a fish can commit to: the kick, the slow fall and the snap back to life. Fish it with short twitches almost on the spot when predators are cold, or crank it steadily and let it roll evenly from side to side when they want to chase.

The two-part plastic body with integrated lip keeps the turn tight and responsive, and at 38 g it still casts a long way into a headwind. With a running depth of 0.9 to 1.2 metres it covers shallow flats, weed edges and structure, in clear water as well as lightly stained.
