BlueBlue at Charlie's Fishing: Japanese sea bass lures, Snecon and Blooowin!

BlueBlue is a Japanese saltwater lure brand founded in 2011 by pro angler Masanori Muraoka, with its lures made in Japan. It started with sea bass and became known worldwide for long-casting hardbaits and metal jigs with a name of their own: the Snecon with its unpredictable S-curve, the Blooowin! that casts straight into a headwind, and the SeaRide jig. Their lures work just as well on our perch, zander and pike as on sea bass at the coast. BlueBlue Snecon: the sinking pencil with an S-curve you cannot predict

The Snecon swims in wide S-curves on nothing more than a straight retrieve. A stepped head, an unstable centre of gravity and free-moving weight balls make it break left or right at a moment neither you nor the fish can predict, and the balls add a rattle. In current or at long range the S-curve gets wider; on still water fish it stop-and-go. The BlueBlue Snecon 50S (5 cm, 3 g) is the finesse size for perch along harbour edges and canals, the BlueBlue Snecon 90S (9 cm, 15 g) the all-round size for sea bass, zander and perch, and the BlueBlue Snecon 150S (15 cm, 40 g) has a through-wire frame strong enough for big pike and sea bass in tidal water. BlueBlue Blooowin!: long-casting jerkbaits and minnows

The Blooowin! has an internal tungsten weight and a centre-of-gravity shifting system, so it flies straight and far even into a strong headwind, without spinning or tangling. On a steady retrieve it combines a tight wobble with an S-shaped slide, and jerked it turns erratic like an injured baitfish. It also trolls well at sea. The sinking models run to about 1 m: Blooowin! 60S (6 cm, 4 g) for perch and small fish, Blooowin! 80S (8 cm, 8 g) and Blooowin! 110S (11 cm, 14 g) for sea bass, zander and perch. The Blooowin! 125F (12.5 cm) is the floating minnow for sea bass over shallow structure and flats, at dawn and dusk. More in Jerkbaits and Crankbaits & Twitchbaits.

BlueBlue Arvin and Ballist: sinking stickbait and minnow for the sea

The Arvin is a sinking stickbait with a subtle roll and wobble that works in current and still water; with the rod tip up it runs just under the surface. The BlueBlue Arvin 60S (6 cm, 6.5 g) is the finesse size for harbour structures, canal edges and shallow drop-offs, the BlueBlue Arvin 150S (15 cm, 40 g) imitates bigger baitfish for large predators at sea. The BlueBlue Ballist 90S (9 cm, 21 g) is a compact, heavy sinking minnow for sea bass that stays stable in wind, current and rough water and lets you control the depth precisely. BlueBlue topwaters: Force Guile, Gachipen, Chupazo and Inemun

The BlueBlue Force Guile 160F (16 cm, 50 g) is a diving pencil developed for sea bass that swims a wide serpentine path just under the surface on a plain retrieve; long jerks make bigger waves, short jerks a quick S. It comes without hooks, we recommend #5 split rings and 2/0 trebles. The BlueBlue Gachipen 130 (13 cm, 30 g) is a through-wire walk-the-dog pencil for big predators, at its best in calm water and under fishing pressure. The BlueBlue Chupazo 60 (6 cm, 7 g) has a fat body that pushes a lot of water at a slow pace, and the BlueBlue Inemun 60 (6 cm, 6 g) walks subtly for cautious fish over shallow flats. BlueBlue Narage, Shalldus and Zepper: vibration, blade and crankbait

The Narage is a vibration lure with a lip that casts far, stays close to the bottom and sinks slowly in a lying position, which triggers fish that follow: the BlueBlue Narage 50 (5 cm, about 12 g) spirals down without tangling your line, the BlueBlue Narage 65 (6.5 cm, 18 g) is fishable on light rods. The Shalldus is a blade vibration lure with a willow leaf tail, rigged and ready, that keeps a tight vibration even at low speed in canals, rivers and harbours: BlueBlue Shalldus 14 (6 cm, 14 g) and BlueBlue Shalldus 20 (7.5 cm, 18 g). BlueBlue metal jigs: SeaRide Mini and Fallten

The BlueBlue SeaRide Mini 15 g is the small version of BlueBlue's famous SeaRide: it casts far in the wind and falls slowly and horizontally, and with short lifts it darts in the Dolphin Action that sea bass and mackerel cannot ignore. The BlueBlue Fallten in 20, 30 and 40 g is the slim, fast sinking jig for deep water, current and drop-offs, cast or fished vertically, with a treble and an extra inline hook.
