The Abu Garcia Toby spoon

The Toby is a classic metal spoon with a slim, slightly curved body. On the retrieve it produces a strong wobble and flash that imitates an injured baitfish, and it keeps that action across a wide range of speeds, in still water and in current, in fresh water and in salt. At 7.5 cm it is compact for its weight, which is where its casting distance comes from. It is a searching lure above all: you cover water fast, work banks, drop-offs and structure, and let the flash find the fish.

Toby spoon 15 g or 20 g

The Abu Garcia Toby Spoon 15 g is the everyday size: long casts without sinking too fast, so it stays workable over shallower ground and in slower current. Abu Garcia Revo VoltiQ X: a baitcaster without backlash worries

The Abu Garcia Revo VoltiQ X Low Profile Reel is built on the rigid, compact Revo X platform, but with Abu Garcia's VoltiQ electronic casting system in place of a magnetic brake. VoltiQ reads the spool speed during the cast and only brakes when the spool starts to overrun, so you get longer casts with fewer backlashes, also in wind or when you switch from a 15 g crankbait to a 40 g swimbait. A dial with ten settings runs from Pro Mode for maximum distance to full braking for big baits in hard wind. It is sealed to IPX8 and needs no battery or charger.
