VMC Mustache Shallow – Lead-Free Bucktail Head for Shallow Pike Water, 22 g

The VMC Mustache Shallow is a bucktail head built for big pike in shallow water. The flat head pushes a lot of water and the hair behind it keeps pulsing at low speed, and that is the signal a big pike picks up from a distance.

The body is wood with a zinc keel, so the head is lead-free and runs stable. A bait screw takes a soft tail and an extra eye takes a stinger. At 22 g dry and about 35 g wet it runs to about a metre, made for polders and shallow bays where a heavier bucktail digs into the weed.

It is the platform of Charlie's Mustache Mouse Combo. Fit a CWC Double Tail, a Rapala Soft Peto 18 cm or a Rapala Soft Olio 18 cm and finish it with a VMC Pike Chain Rig in M or L, depending on the length of the tail. The VMC Mustache Shallow Baby is the lighter version for lighter rods.
