Stucki Fishing at Charlie's Fishing: Bubble poppers and the Kingsizer V-tail softbait
Stucki Fishing is a Swiss tackle brand from Einsiedeln. Its range runs from metal spoons and spinners to modern hardbaits and softbaits, such as the Bubble poppers of its Fanatics line. At Charlie's Fishing we stock three Stucki Fishing lures: the Mini Bubble 35 and the Bubble 55, two small poppers for perch, asp and sea bass on the surface, and the Kingsizer, a 20 cm V-tail softbait for vertical and pelagic fishing for zander and pike. Below you find what each one is for.
Stucki Fishing Mini Bubble 35 and Bubble 55: small poppers for surface action
Both Bubbles are floating topwater poppers with a specially shaped mouth that gives a clear splash and sound on every pull. The Stucki Fishing Mini Bubble 35 (3.5 cm, 2 g) is made for light tackle and works best in spring and early summer, when the baitfish are still small and perch often chase them on the surface. The Stucki Fishing Bubble 55 (5.5 cm, 7.7 g) is the bigger brother: it casts further and is a lure to keep in your box for the moment perch, asp or sea bass start hunting at the surface. Fish both with short twitches of the rod tip and a pause in between. More in Topwaters and Perch.
Stucki Fishing Kingsizer: 20 cm V-tail softbait for vertical and pelagic fishing
The Stucki Fishing Kingsizer (20 cm, 30 g, 4 per pack) is built for vertical and pelagic fishing for zander and pike. Its rubber compound and shape make it dance through the water, and it keeps that lively action on a light head as well as on a very heavy one. A thin membrane connects the two points of the V-tail, so the whole body moves more under water. Remove the membrane and you have a fine V-tail with a completely different action, which gives you two lures in one. Choose a head to match your depth and current in Jigheads, and see more in V-Tails & Pintails and Pelagic.
Which Stucki Fishing lure for which situation
• Perch on the surface in spring and early summer: Mini Bubble 35.
• Perch, asp and sea bass hunting at the surface, or when you need a longer cast: Bubble 55.
• Vertical fishing for zander and pike: Kingsizer on a jig head.
• Pelagic fishing for zander and pike in open water: Kingsizer, with or without the tail membrane. See Pike, Zander, Perch, Asp and Seabass.
