Savage Gear Cork Screw – Screw-In Bait Keepers for Rigging Softbaits

The Savage Gear Cork Screw is the small component that decides whether your softbait survives the first take. It is a spring-shaped screw that winds into the nose of a soft lure and locks it in place, so the bait cannot slide down the hook shank, tear loose on the cast or come off sideways when a pike turns on it.

The open helix bites into a large surface of the plastic instead of gripping a single point, which is what keeps the bait sitting centred and straight on the rig — and a straight bait is a bait that swims true instead of spinning up your line. The attachment eye connects to snaps, split rings and stinger wires, so the same screw works on a spin shad rig, a stinger setup, a pike bucktail or any rig you build yourself. Wind it back out and the bait is undamaged, ready to be re-rigged another day.

Three sizes cover the full range of soft lures. The S is for small shads and finesse rigs, the M is the allrounder that fits most medium softbaits, and the L is built for bulky big-bait bodies. Every pack holds 8 pieces.
