DSTYLE Ebison Boy 2.7"

DSTYLE Ebison Boy 2.7": elastomer shrimp softbait for perch

The DSTYLE Ebison Boy 2.7" is a 7 cm elastomer softbait developed by Japanese pro angler Yui Aoki. It imitates the escape of a fleeing shrimp, with a lively action that looks like the bait is dancing away from the predator. It is the compact version of the Ebison and fishes the same way, in a size that suits perch well.

The groove in the back lets the body fold easily, so a fish can inhale it naturally and you get reliable hook-ups. The tail sections have openings for nail sinkers: with a 0.1 to 0.45 g nail weight the bait stands upright in a defensive posture, which triggers bites from both active and passive fish.

Rig it on an offset hook with a sinker to fish around cover, or wacky style on a neko rig, where the shrimp action becomes even more pronounced. It also works as a trailer on a rubber jig.
