Savage Gear Mutant Rat 24 cm

Savage Gear Mutant Rat 24 cm – Ready to Fish Hybrid Rat Lure for Pike

The Savage Gear Mutant Rat 24 cm arrives fully rigged: hard head, mounted soft tail and two sharp trebles on a stainless steel stinger. It stays alive at walking pace, so you can crawl it over weed and along reed beds where the pike sit, and that slow profile is often what turns a follower into a bite. At 68 g you can keep casting it all day, and it lands softer on shallow, clear water. Step up to the 30 cm at 125 g when you want a bigger profile and more water push.

Best used for

• Pike holding tight in reed beds, weed beds and lily pads
• Slow, waking retrieves over shallow flats in summer and early autumn
• Coloured water, where a big water push does more than flash
• Working the last few metres beside the boat for followers
• Pressured water, where a rat profile is something the fish have not seen all season
