ULM Lures

ULM Lures at Charlie's Fishing

ULM Lures (Ulm Lures AB) is a Swedish lure brand from Norrköping that designs every bait with one fish in mind: big pike. The Gigabite series has been fished for more than six years and has accounted for hundreds of big pike, including verified fish over 15 kg. At Charlie's Fishing we stock the ULM baits we fish ourselves, shipped from the Netherlands across Europe.

ULM Lures Gigabite V2: heavy paddle tail shad for big pike

The Gigabite V2 is a paddle tail shad with a tall body and a large paddle that pushes a lot of water. It is heavier than most shads of its length, so it casts far and stays stable in the wind, and the soft rubber gives a fine rolling action on slow and fast retrieves alike. Fish it on a jighead or a stinger rig, from the bank, from the boat or on the troll.

• ULM Lures Gigabite V2 21 cm: the all-round size at 96 g, with a recommended stinger hook size of 2/0.
• ULM Lures Gigabite V2 25 cm: the big one at 175 g, for deeper water and large solitary pike.

ULM Lures Easy Swim: jointed swimbait that is easy to fish

The ULM Lures Easy Swim 17 cm is a two-piece jointed hard swimbait, designed in Sweden to swim with a natural action even on a slow retrieve. Stainless hardware with rotating swivels and razor-sharp BKK trebles help cut down on lost fish. During testing it has already accounted for pike over 120 cm.

Which ULM lure to pick

Start with the Gigabite V2 21 cm for open water and drop-offs. Step up to the 25 cm when the pike sit deep or when you want a bigger profile. Choose the Easy Swim when you want a swimbait that works straight out of the pack, on a slow steady retrieve. Natural patterns such as Skitmört, Bream and Natural Perch suit clear water; bright colours such as Fire Tiger, Hot Burbot and UV Walleye help in coloured water.
